OUR PROJECT

We all loved Morris Island Lighthouse, but we also were fond of the beautiful Tybee Island Lighthouse in Georgia.  We began to do some research on both lights and discovered there was an organization called "Save the Light" in Charleston SC that was dedicated to saving the quickly detriorating Morris Island Light that was just  added to the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List.  Save the Light is an organization whose main goal was to secure the funds to refurbish the Light.  This would take millions of dollars.    Tybee Island was also doing some remodeling at the time, but the funds were already approved for their project, so we chose to dedicate our time and efforts to helping Morris Island Lighthouse through Save the Light .  This would be our Club project.
